Insider Yogi Tips
with Emma Ceolin
We recently had the privilege of sharing the yogi magic of the beautiful Emma Ceolin with our angels, at our Pacific Fair Camilla Wellness Weekend. Founder of Yoga Ventures studio, teacher, mamma, and an all-round gorgeous soul – we sat down with Emma to gleam a few insights from her yoga journey.
an inspired journey
I began yoga as an alternate healing pathway for my anxiety and depression, after my doctor recommended I try a yoga class. At the time, I was not a believer and did not understand how stretching could help. Nonetheless, I showed up to that first yoga class and it changed the entire trajectory of my life.
the path of transformation
My yoga practice changed many aspects of my life. Coming to my mat became the most effective way to interrupt anxious thought patterns, heal past traumas, calm my mind, and come back into my body. I found that the more awareness and mindfulness I created on the mat – the more it showed up in my life every day.
Yoga inspired me to quit my corporate job, let go of numbing behaviors, change my diet (I’m now plant based), cease toxic relationships, and anything else that didn't serve my wellbeing.
Magic morning rituals
I love to start my day with hot lemon water.
A little meditation check-in with breathing techniques.
Snuggles with my little one when he wakes up.
Positive affirmations I have written on my bathroom mirror, which I recite in the shower.
A delish choc caramel protein shake.
kiss the sun morning yoga
I recommend a soulful sequence that focuses on opening the shoulders, releasing the hips and nourishing the spine. Suitable for all levels.
Child Pose 10 breaths.
Cat Cow 10 breaths.
Down Dog 10 breaths.
Sun Salutation C (4 rounds).
Supine twist (repeat other side) 20 breaths.
get grounded top 5
Journal to get to know YOU. Get to know who you are at the core. Your wants, your needs, your dreams. The world can only know you if you know yourself.
Learn to be vulnerable. Sharing your story is letting it go, talking about your pain is relieving it – being vulnerable is how we heal. Tell the truth, be vulnerable and let your authentic self shine. Share your ups and downs, highs and lows – get okay with being human. The more you’re real about who you are, the more you know, accept and love yourself.
Make time for stillness. Be alone with yourself: meditate, practice breathing techniques, go for walks without any stimulation or technology. The introspective journey makes everything more purposeful. Your connection to this earth, your divine source, your loved ones and yourself, is nurtured through stillness. Not a moment is ever wasted in stillness.
Move your body in a mindful way. Physically moving allows us to move energy, and is one of the most effective ways to create a shift when we’re feeling stagnant or blocked. For me this is yoga, but for others it may be different. Find what moves you.
Cultivate a practice of gratitude. The practice of gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. Try this technique – write down 100 things you're thankful for at this moment.
Yoga threads with energy
Self-confidence on the mat can have a big impact on my practice. Before I start my practice I make sure I’m comfortable in what I’m wearing and feeling good.

A day with the Camilla Tribe
A highlight from the Camilla Wellness event at Pacific Fair was definitely the energy of the room – it was a beautiful, holistic, feel-good vibe! So much love and care went into the set-up. With the support from the lovely gals at Camilla, there were wonderful students who came along to practice, some for the first time ever!
