We have walked across her sun-struck plains, into the depths of her heavenly Amazon, gotten sand between our toes on distant coasts and become enamoured with the art she creates — she inspires every crevice of the CAMILLA heart, and she needs us now more than ever.
Printmakers, storytellers, adventurers and artisans, the CAMILLA heart beats to the rhythm of Mother Earth and all that she encapsulates.
And as her light dims to the upheaval of landfills and debris floating amidst sapphire seas, our mission to her became effortlessly clear.
This is our ode to her. To all that she has given, and to all that she gives.
Our pledge stands within all that we are, to create inspired collections that help her heal. And so, we introduce our sustainable swimwear curation.
A collection of luxury swimwear that is a dream on your body, and out of our precious environment. Crafted to be immersed amongst the sun, sand and crystal seas for summers to come.
What is ECONYL® fabric?
ECONYL® is regenerated nylon, crafted from waste materials that would otherwise end up polluting our Mother Earth.
Its beauty lies in its ability to be recycled, remoulded and ultimately reused time and time again. An infinitely recyclable product that keeps our planet looking beautiful, it opens the door to a circular fashion sphere.
Where can I buy ECONYL® fabric?

But we haven’t stopped there. Our lavish HOTEL FRANKS collection plays host to a 100% recycled polyester boardshort for the handsome gents who call the coast home. And our MILLA BY CAMILLA curation offers an 81% ECONYL® regenerated nylon swimwear collection for your mini-me’s.

Our new packaging has been developed in line with the APCO’s Sustainable Packaging Guidelines. From the tissue paper and online shipping boxes to the store bags and premium packaging, you’re taking home your CAMILLA swimwear with 100% recyclable materials.
And we haven’t forgotten about the details. Our swing tags are now made up of 70% recycled materials and woven labels are crafted from 60% recycled yarns. Satin tape and swing tag plaques are rendered from 100% recycled goods that are FSC certified.
What is sustainability?
Sustainability means finding a balance between the environment, society and the economy. It encapsulates every aspect of our lives and promotes the act of only taking what is needed without compromising the livelihoods of future generations to come.
What is environmental sustainability?
Environmental sustainability asks three things of humankind, to preserve, conserve and protect the ecosystems around us.
The habitat that nourishes, protects and inspires us every day is in a state of deep suffering. And it is our mission at CAMILLA to ensure that we walk upon Mother Earth through wind-struck grass with her healing at the forefront of our existence.
Why is sustainability important?
Mother Earth is calling to us. With her oceans and vast lands continuing to be polluted by waste, honouring a sustainable way forward protects our environment, conserves resources for generations to come and improves our own quality of life.
What is sustainable fashion?
Sustainable fashion is the reimagining of design, manufacturing and distribution processes that serve to reduce environmental and social impact.
At CAMILLA, sustainability is held close to our hearts. That’s why we’re proud to share some of our initiatives that hold Mother Earth in mind.
- Solar panel electricity is established at our main supplier factories, and water treatment systems are in place to save consumption. Our Sydney Head Office is also fitted with solar panels.
- Our HOTEL FRANKS 100% Recycled Polyester Mens Boardshort meets the Global Recycled Standards.
- The majority of our print houses are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified.
How to be more sustainable?
Giving back to Mother Earth requires a little bit from all of us. Crafting a more sustainable life is limitless, and these are just a handful of ways forward.
Invest in your wardrobe: Purchase less frequently, and invest in higher quality garments that are made to last a lifetime.
- Pick your materials: Opt for fabrications that are crafted by Mother Earth, think silks, cotton, linens and wools. Materials such as polyester can take up to 200 years to decompose depending on its quality and thickness.
- Fix, don’t replace: Find a quality seamstress and repairs person who you can trust to bring your pieces back to life when they need a refresh.
- Get creative: Recycle and reuse possessions reaching the end of their life.
- Give your pieces a new life: Donate your belongings instead of throwing them away.
